ETWR 2473 is a basic, start-at-ground-level course for learning HTML and XHTML markup for web publishing. We will also learn CSS, or Cascading Style Sheets, as the course progresses.
This course is conducted solely through internet websites and email communication. It requires a certain level of self-motivation and self-discipline from the student to stay current with reading and assignments. This format, however, also allows for an extremely flexible study schedule. The student can complete and submit coursework from any internet-connected location at any time of the day or night.
The text, HTML for the World Wide Web by Elizabeth Castro, is concise and easy to use. As a neophyte, I personally have had to seek further explanation for some of the terminology and concepts presented; but the text covers each topic thoroughly.
